Atlanta to the Atlantic aims to foster awareness of the South River and its environmental health by bringing people closer to the waters running through their neighborhoods.

Join Flux Projects and social practitioner Nedra Deadwyler as they prepare to send artists Rachel Parish and Sarah Cameron Sunde on an adventure along the waters of the South River from its beginnings in Atlanta to the Atlantic Ocean. This workshop will create two quilts, one for each artist, to protect them on their trip.

Participants will create quilt panels. Supplies (fabric, notions, threads) will be provided; however, you can bring a personal item to add to your design. The panels will be sewn together to make the two quilts.
