Atlanta to the Atlantic Installations
September 21 – October 13
| FreeFor phase two of their project Atlanta to the Atlantic, artists Rachel Parish and Sarah Cameron Sunde will collaborate with Julia Hill to build installations in three Atlanta parks through which tributaries of the South River flow. Opening Sept. 21 in Perkerson Park, to be followed by Arthur Langford, Jr. Park and Kirkwood Urban Forest, the installations will highlight the presence of the waterway, offer opportunities for recreation and reflection, and incorporate elements of the collective portrait of the watershed that emerged along the journey.
Installations are open daily during daylight hours.
A collaboration with the South River Watershed Alliance, Atlanta to the Atlantic aims to foster awareness of the South River and its environmental health by bringing people into closer relationship with its waters that run through their neighborhoods.
