CORE Performance Company

Upon entering the project site audience members will encounter instructions given in three forms: printed, personal guide, and voice announcement. Dancers will pair with an audience member to ‘guide’ them through a sequence, pass out hand-written movement score instructions so they can become part of the cast, and use the PA system to ‘call’ sections of the dance, harking back to a square dance caller. Throughout the performance, CORE will facilitate the audience’s evolution to become performers themselves and to become witnesses to each other’s movements and discoveries.
