Artifact is an acoustic, site specific environment created with sound, light, and fog for the Garage Projects space in Castleberry Hill. The work grows from a project called YNWA, an installation that Gibson created for the 2 009 Athens Biennale. Artifact removes the language from the previous sound piece and explores the ambient sounds of the original location. Treating these sounds as the figure in a figure / ground relationships, Artifact presents the ground, that which remains at the end of the day.
