Old 4th Ward, Atlanta

Statements is an opportunity to hear voices inspired by the work of Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. in all of his profound complexity and humanity. People from Atlanta and beyond will take the stage to voice their words, poems, songs, dreams, essays, speeches, prayers and manifestos. In the context of a one-night event with the theme, ‘Dream,’ situated in the historic neighborhood of Dr. King, it is important to remember that dreams, ultimately, are lived and given life by the people who wake up in our cities every day.
