You would think you were listening to a recording of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. speaking. Some even say Dr. King has returned in spirit, through Stephon Ferguson. From the pulpit of Dexter Avenue to the Lorraine Motel, Ferguson has raised brows, opened mouths, brought tears to eyes and aroused the consciousness of people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds by delivering dead-on, pitch perfect renditions of Dr. King’s speeches and sermons. Ferguson’s mission is to help continue the legacy of Dr. King by reciting his words but more importantly by educating people about King’s philosophy of love, nonviolence, peace and unity as ways to bring about positive change.
