Voice Box is a sound installation of twenty luminous boxes spread out around FLUX 2011. Situated on sides of buildings, lamp posts, trees, and window grates, each box will play a looped recording of a person singing. These recordings were recently taken in many different parts of Atlanta, creating a spontaneous sound map of the city. Listen to a recording inside a box and you will be taken to another place and time that is nearby, not far away.
