FLUX: Grant Park
September 27, 2018 @ 7:29 am – September 30, 2018 @ 6:00 pm
| FreeAs Grant Park celebrates 135 years, Flux Projects will present a collection of works by Atlanta artists that give voice to this historic greenspace. Four Atlanta artists have been selected to lead projects: Rachel K. Garceau, Rebecca M.K. Makus, Iman Person, and Lauri Stallings. Their works will examine the health, history, and ecosystem of the park, while encouraging the public to explore its nooks and crannies, and revel in its sublime beauty.
Projects are intended to enhance visitor experience of the park, which provides a theatrical backdrop and point of reference for the projects. FLUX will extend over four days with focus times on each day and a schedule of events within these times.
ACCESSIBILITY
This is an outdoor event in a park environment. Every attempt has been made to make it as wheelchair friendly as possible. Grades can be steep. Accessible parking is available in the parking lot beside Zoo Atlanta at 800 Cherokee Avenue. The best route by which to view the projects will be by entering the park at the Zoo and following the main path north.
